Examines how porous borders facilitate insurgency and organized crime, and whether border walls or stronger regional cooperation offer more sustainable security solutions.

Webinar 3 (November 2026) Free Movement in East Africa: Lessons for Regional Integration and Continental Mobility Evaluates the East African Community's experience with free movement of people, goods, labour, and services, and what it offers for the African Union's Agenda 2063.

Partnerships & Collaboration

ABMS seeks strategic partnerships with institutions and organizations such as the UNDP, UNODC, the African Union (AU), regional economic communities (RECs), the African Border Centre (ABC) in Nairobi, universities, and national research institutes focused on border and migration issues across African states.
